Packing

Contrary to my ususal last minute desperate actions , I am attempting to be organised well in advance of my pending move
date ( feb 20something) and have commenced packing a box or two a day. Trying to box up the
inessentials of which there are many. I sometimes look back to arriving in Wanaka 11 and a half years ago ( 11 and a half years !)
with a bike & a back pack and wonder how I amassed a house lot . How did this happen ?! However, i shall keep out a
few treasures and I can't possibly hide this beautiful brown china pony in a box for so long....

....or my favourite china swan , oh no, not that.

....the paua shell curtain....
Oh I am so easily diverted.

Eat me.

Flourless Chocolate Brownie
Now...I'm not usually  a Nigella fan - but this is a mean brownie.
No offense to Nigella but I'm not so sure
the recipes transfer well to New Zealand somehow.

225grms butter
225grms chocolate
2 tsps vanilla essence
2oogrms caster sugar
3 eggs
150grms ground almonds
100grms walnuts

Gently melt butter and chocolate.
Add everything else and bake for 20 to 30
minutes at 170c in a lined baking dish.
Leave to cool. Dust with icing sugar.
Too easy .

Coming down the track from Rocky Hill.

Thank you lovely Binn! She sent over two cool cool
old books. The inside cover reads ...
He hates crime.....and loves dames!
